Sancta Maria House is committed to protecting the privacy of the youth and families we serve. All information regarding the young people we work with is strictly confidential. Each person receiving services has a legal right to privacy and confidentiality. In providing services to distressed youth and families the agency collects sensitive information and is obliged by ethical codes and by law to treat it carefully.

We are committed to meeting the privacy standards established by the Child and Family Services Act and Ontario’s Personal Health Information Act (PHIPA). The information that Sancta Maria House collects and files is considered Personal Health Information under PHIPA.

Sancta Maria House will ask that you give your consent to us for obtaining or disclosing relevant information to ensure we meet your needs and provide you with quality service. This ensures that everyone involved in your care is working together for you.

Some of the information we gather is also for the purpose of evaluation of our programs, for quality improvement and to provide service outcomes to our funders.
